When The Christmas Spirit Is A Stranger

Attempting to convince myself and others I'm having just as good a time as they are.

Each year, as the holiday season starts to creep up, I must convince myself that the experience is exciting and fun. I’ve never been fond of abrupt changes, though I try to adapt quickly when they do happen. Change makes many people uncomfortable. Changes happen quickly around this time, which may be part of my problem. Before the food is bought for everyone’s Thanksgiving feast, corporate America is shoving Christmas down our throats.
